SEWING........... A DYING ART FORM As owner of Seams Like Olde Times (costumes & vintage apparel) for 24 years I have incorporated my design, sewing and teaching skills in my business. Previous to starting my business, I was a Home Economics teacher in the Denver Public Schools for several years teaching sewing and home management skills, owner of 2 sewing schools for adults and manager of one of the Bernina Sewing Chalets in the south Denver, Colorado area (Bernina is a name of a Swiss Sewing Machine) With my extensive experience in teaching sewing and lack of Home Economics sewing classes in the public schools, I am offering private sewing lessons and beginner classes for preteen to adults on learning how to use a sewing machine of all brands, sergers, repair and alterations of all garments and basic sewing class instruction in construction of a garment. More advanced classes are offered on an individual basis. I am also a certified teacher for the "Kids Can Sew" program.
