The 30’s is known for garments are lovely on small bodies because they stretch and cling to the body. The fabric was cut on the crosswise or bias and thus it stretches and hangs attractively. This light yellow rayon crepe dress is such an example of a bias cut in its design techniques. The bertha collar goes over the shoulder to form a sleeve and goes down the back to form an open V. The bias skirt starts under the bust and forms the flowing skirt. There is a small stain on the hem.
