It’s nearly impossible to list all of the tens of thousands of costumes Seams Like Olde Times has available to rent. A few are pictured elsewhere on our site, but here is a basic list to give you a general idea of the types of costuming we do.

Period Costumes: Our largest stock of period costumes is in the 1850 to 1950 era, but earlier and later periods are growing steadily. All of our costumes are individually designed, so no two are exactly alike. Our women’s 20’s dresses include some original vintage pieces, as well as beaded, sequined, and fringed affairs, and come complete with accessories. Men’s 20’s wear includes both vintage and reproduction double-breasted suits, as well as the famous (or infamous) Zoot Suits. Want a gangster getup? Amelia Earhardt? Speakeasy moll? No problem. We gotcha’ covered. Civil War-era costumes are also quite popular (Billy Yank or Johnny Reb), as are the Titanic-era clothing sets.

Western: We have an extensive variety of Western wear, carrying everything from dandy gamblers, violent desperadoes, and scores of individually designed saloon girl costumes, complete with garters , hair plumage, and high-topped lace-up shoes. Or, if you’re feeling a bit more…adventurous…we can set you up with a custom design Madame costume, complete with the traditional fancy (and slightly risqué) bustle dress. With our cowboys and ladies of the old West, we also provide full reproduction Native American costumes, leather and beaded with wigs and moccasins. We also have fur trappers, mountain men, and characters like Buffalo Bill, Annie Oakley, and Billy the Kid.

Ethnic: We carry a full line of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, Mexican, Spanish, Irish, and Dutch costumes, as well as others.

Renaissance: Care to save the lovely Maid Marian as the Legendary Robin Hood? How about taking a spin as the King of France? Maybe Queen Elizabeth has always been one of your favorites. Or perhaps you just want to clown around as the court jester? If you can think of it, we can do it!

Female Characters: Marilyn Monroe, Dorothy, the Wicked Witch, Glinda, a sequined fish lady named Goldie, mermaids…and the possibilities don’t end there!

Male Characters: You name it, we have it. From stressed-out postal workers and clowns to the Devil and Captain Hook.

We also carry the more standard costume fare, such as prisoners, Batman, Robin, the Joker, Riddler, Dick Tracy, wizards, animals, sheiks, fabulous harem girls, genies, flamenco dancers, and Spanish ladies complete with mantillas.

Please remember that our costumes are strictly for rental only. We don’t sell anything, and we don’t carry rubber masks or the like (Nixon masks, etc.). Also, you won’t be able to actually buy or rent anything from our website. The entire purpose of this site is to actually get you into the store to be fitted for your costume (aren’t we sneaky?).
